SPEAKERS:

Aman Yousuf | Manager, Design & Product Development, Marlin Spring

Aman is a Manager of Design & Product Development with over 11 years of experience, dedicated to design excellence and innovation. He has led residential and commercial projects across the Middle East and Canada, including residential towers, office buildings, hotels, and retail malls. As a co-founder and Treasurer of SOSA, he is passionate about empowering the architecture community, fostering growth, and helping professionals advance their careers and overcome challenges within the field. Aman completed his EXAC exams in 2022 and recently fulfilled his OAA hours, moving closer to licensure as an architect in Ontario.

He shares this advice for those preparing for the EXAC while working full-time: “Let your team know you’re studying for the exam and try to limit overtime hours at work so you can focus on study material after work and on weekends. If possible, taking some time off work to study would also be helpful. Find a study partner, practice sample questions daily, and most importantly, reframe your mindset about the exam. It’s not just about passing; it’s a journey to deepen your understanding of the profession and become a well-rounded architect.”

Nitesh Salwan | Intern Architect, Architecture49 Inc.

Nitesh is an Intern Architect at Architecture49 Inc. in Toronto, where he designs and develops some of the GTA’s most prestigious transit and sports and recreation facilities. Being a foreign-trained architect, he believes that taking the ExAC not only boosted his journey towards licensure but also fueled him with an invaluable knowledge of the professional practice in Canada, which he now brings confidently to his work. Having completed the exam in 2022, Nitesh is eager to share his insights and preparation tips in this upcoming webinar by SOSA.

Snober Khan | Architect, SRM Architects + Urban Designers

Snober is a licensed architect in Canada, registered with the Ontario Association of Architects (OAA) since 2022. After earning a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Waterloo in 2018, Snober strategically completed the Internship in Architecture Program (IAP) in Toronto, gaining diverse project experience aligned with the Canadian Experience Record Book (CERB). Her rigorous preparation and networking efforts led to her successful completion of the Examination for Architects in Canada (EXACs).
